Part 1: The gang resolves to bring the slayer back from the dead, but they're hindered by a marauding band of demons. Meanwhile, a grief-stricken Giles contemplates leaving Sunnydale.

Part 2: As the Hellions continue to ravage Sunnydale, a feral Buffy claws her way out of her own grave and must come to the aid of her friends. 

D.J "What a whirlwind guys! I LOVE THIS SHOW! Some forewarning, I was super tired and sick during this but the show is that good that I was completely invested and in awe of all of these characters & the actors performances. The episode started right in the action & they really showcased the scoobies and their strengths which I loved.... " 

A demon hitchhiker forces Buffy and the gang to deal with the repercussions of her death, and resurrection.

D.J "My heart is heavy! I can literally feel Buffy's pain in this. She loves her friends and family more than anything there's no doubt about that, to me it's more that she felt her purpose in life was complete & now she has returned to the grind.... "

Buffy must stave off would-be supervillians and their demon-for-hire while shouldering grown-up responsibilities, such as a flooded basement and mounting debt.

D.J "It was interesting to see them talk about real life troubles & finances in this episode, quite refreshing. Also sad to see Buffy struggle with it all at the same time. It's like that extra reminder that she's 'back to reality'... " 

Bumbling arch-fiends Jonathan, Warren and Andrew unwittingly test the Slayer's patience, putting her through her paces and probing her weaknesses.

DJ "When ever I see an emotional heartfelt scene between Buffy & Giles I just wanna sob uncontrollably...just me??? " 

While Buffy and the others throw an engagement party for Xander and Anya, Dawn sneaks out with a friend to raise a little hell on Halloween.

D.J "A fun Halloween episode. Dawn is letting her hormones take over & being a typical teenager. Willow casting a memory spell on Tara - I JUST CANT!! Giles kicking ass like a true GILF pahaha... " 

In a musical extravaganza, the people of Sunnydale find themselves bursting into song, and flames, when a demon, summoned from beyond, attempts to make Dawn his bride.

D.J "A MUSICAL EPISODE GUYS!!!! This has been the best week of reaction content because every shows been a banger of an episode! I was SHOOKETH at the Spuffy kiss, shooketh over everyone's voices & shooketh at Buffy revealing the truth about being ripped from heaven!!! ITS SO GOOOOOOD!!!! "

When Willow casts a spell to make Buffy forget her sojourn in heaven, it goes hopelessly awry with funny consequences. Unfortunately for Willow, this is the last straw for Tara, who breaks up with her and moves out.

D.J "What are my eyes seeing in this?!! Hahaha, Giles & .... ANYA??? Huuuhhh. So Willow strikes again...this time it's not so easily fixed, the damage is done & Tara is not gonna move on from this quickly. "

The chip in Spike's head malfunctions allowing him to prey on people again; Willow reunites with a formerly furry friend, who also practices black magic.

D.J " Guys, guuuys, GUYS!!! That house came dooooown guys!! I just. I just, yeah, that happened...MY EYES! Also, how on earth do they move on from this one??? Yikes! Trying not to fixate too much on that HEATED scene...Erm...Tara! Tara being there for Dawn warmed my heart. " 

Amy introduces Willow to a warlock whose powerful black magic proves addictive; Buffy and Spike deal with the aftermath of their night of passion.

D..J Willow cries we all cry! This episode was a wild ride of feels. Willow did indeed take things waaaaay too far. Her getting hooked on Rack, spirals of lies & betrayals, almost killing Dawn & then having everything spill out in an emotional breakdown - wow! "

The Three Geeks mistakenly turn Buffy invisible. The Slayer takes some advantage from going unseen. Willow has to do the detective without using magic, while Xander finds Spike doing some weird physical training.

D.J "This episode had me howling laughing. Which again is strange because the subject matter a lot of the time was real heavy but Buffyverse being Buffyverse had me mixing my emotions! " 

When Buffy takes a job at a fast-food restaurant, she starts to suspect that the disappearing co-workers and the secret ingredient to the restaurant's hamburger patties may be connected.

D.J Amy went too far here! Poor Willow. I think it shows so much progress though with how she handled it & a lot of strength! Seeing Buffy working on a job that isn't slaying was interesting haha, trust her to walk into another monster experience anyways!  

Buffy tries to get to the bottom of why she returned from the grave strangely altered, allowing Spike to attack her. Meanwhile Warren kills Katrina and frames Buffy for it.

D.J Another heated episode between Spike & Buffy! The ending of her sobbing onto Tara broke me a little bit. I think it will be good for Buffy to finally open up to someone though & let all that emotion out.  

After Dawn talks to a guidance counselor about her feeling lonely, she accidentally puts a spell on Buffy and her friends, trapping them inside the Summer's house with a sword-wielding demon.

D.J I saw Anya in a new light this episode, I wasn't a fan - I will put it down to wedding stresses but she gotta chill! It did feel nice to see Tara backing Willow which I'm sure was the point in Anya behaving so aggressively. 

Buffy's ex, Riley, returns to Sunnydale, but he is not alone. Together they track a mysterious dealer who is selling demon eggs that could wipe out the entire city.

D.J Filmed this when I was sick & completely forgot I watched it! Such a significant episode for Buffy too! Riley popped back for a mission which made Buffy really reflect on her life and choices. 

Xander gets cold feet on the brink of his wedding to Anya, after a bizarre stranger plants seeds of doubt in his mind by showing him what their future together will be like.

D.J What an emotional episode. I struggled seeing Anya so upset & Xander go through the motions in this one. Weddings are cursed, i'm telling you haha. I will be so upset if Anya reverts back to her demon vengeance self & turns on the group. She's grown so freakin' much but she's hurting now & just wants to stop crying :( I CANT!  

A demon's venom causes Buffy to hallucinate, convincing the slayer that she's a normal girl in a mental ward, that her parents are alive, Dawn never existed, and her slayer life is a delusion. 

D.J My head is so messy right now! This episode completely threw me! What is real and what isn't in the Buffy universe right now?!!! Some solid moments in this one. Willow wanting to kick start things back up with Tara only to feel hurt when she sees her with another girl. Spike laying some honesty down on Buffy saying she's a sucker for misery. 

Anya, secretly a demon again, attempts to get vengeance on Xander but fails. She finds comfort by sleeping with Spike, but the Geek Trio's cameras reveal the tryst to the gang. Meanwhile, Willow and Tara arrange a coffee date.

DJ: This ep was much needed! I really enjoyed it, even though I cried & it felt very emotional and heavy there were some really satisfying and long awaited moments. Xander & Anya face each other for the first time since the wedding. Buffy's secret is out! Not at all in the way I'd have guessed but holy, it was intense!

Warren acquires a pair of demonic orbs that imbue him with strength and invulnerability, and he faces off with Buffy but loses. He comes back with a gun, and shoots both Buffy and Tara.

DJ: I AM DISTRAUGHT! I have no words...I hope this is all just a VERY bad dream that I will soon wake up from. LOOK AT HER SMILING FACE THAT THEYRE ABOUT TO END!!!!  

Tara's sudden death pushes Willow over the edge. After magically saving Buffy from her own wounds, Willow, consumed by anger and dark magic, hunts down Warren and tortures and kills him.

DJ:  Well...I watched it guys. I didn't feel an overwhelming sigh of relief sadly but I did get through it. I'm not fond of seeing Willow this way, I wanna see her with confidence but not dead behind the eyes. Glad Warren is no more but HOLY what a way to go. Poor Dawn suffering another loss so young. I just dunno where this is gonna go now... 

Vengeance fuels Willow's ill-fated return to the black arts, following the death of her girlfriend. Spike leaves Sunnydale to embark on a mysterious quest.

DJ: Dark Willow is terrifying!! Alyson is playing it perfectly though. Seeing Wil and Buffy fighting was really a tough watch, I'd rather that then see them saying hurtful things to each other mind! GILES!!! What a shockarooney! 

Despite his powers, even Giles can't stop Willow's insatiable rage as her vengeance explodes into a campaign to destroy the world. Elsewhere, Spike's quest leads him to an encounter with a horrific demon.

DJ:  holy finale!! I went through every emotion possible it felt like. Relief at the end being the main one, thankfully. Xander really pulled through here and it was great to witness, well through what I could see through my watery eyeballs...'I love you'....sobs.
