SUPERNATURAL 5X01 - SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL

Sam, Dean, and Bobby must deal with the aftermath of the Devil's escape from Hell.

DJ: *Rating* 9/10 - This ep provided me with what I needed for a season opener, it just made me sad with that ending!..

- I'm finding it very hard to side with just one of the boys lately. I can see things from both points of view. Dean tried multiple times to get Sam to listen and be safe & Sam felt he wasn't being heard yet again & felt he was doing what was right for Dean & the human race! As much as I adore Dean, he was frustratingly shut off this ep (until the end). Not that this should be a surprise to me but I feel that him shutting Sam down & not allowing him to speak can cause more harm than good. As much as I want 'old' Sam back & have things right as rain again, I can see why on this occasion it's proving difficult. He knows he fucked up in a HUGE way & he needs a support system right now & it hurts that he's not getting that.

SUPERNATURAL 5X02 - GOOD GOD, Y'ALL!

Castiel tells Sam and Dean that he is going to search for God - who will be able to defeat Lucifer. Bobby's old hunter friend, Rufus, is panicked about demons attacking his town, and Bobby sends Sam and Dean to help.

DJ: *Rating* - 8.9/10 -another great ep, surprise surprise. It was brill seeing Ellen, Jo & Rufus again! I really hope that they'll become more regular on the show. That end scene, yet again was BRUTAL. I really wanted Dean to say, 'I'm glad that you have realised this Sam & let's work through this together.' Having said that, I understand why this time it's a little more intense & hard to work through/past. I pray that the brothers just need their time to heal & then they'll come out the other side stronger than ever,  *fingers crossed*.

SUPERNATURAL 5X03 - FREE TO BE YOU AND ME

Not sure he trusts himself anymore, Sam decides to give up hunting. Meanwhile, Dean teams up with Castiel to find the Archangel Raphael.

DJ: *RATING* - 9.3/10 - my episode ratings feel samey at the minute but what can I say this show deserves the high ratings. This ep hurt my heart, seeing the boys seperated was tough - however...I did enjoy seeing Dean & Cas together. The comedic moments were brilliant!! Cas not getting jokes is my new favourite thing! Seeing Sam, i'm sorry 'Keith'?! trying to start a fresh & work through his issues only to have them creep back up anyway sucked. Although he did show heart & strength this episode which is always great to see. I don't wanna see him as Lucifer 2.0!! I wanna see him smile, laugh & SAVE PEOPLE! The family business needs to stay a family business not a solo act, please & thank you.

SUPERNATURAL 5X04 - THE END

Sam tells Dean he wants to rejoin with him in the battle of the Apocalypse, but Dean tells Sam that they are better off apart. Later, Dean awakens five years in the future in an abandoned city.

DJ: *RATING* - 8.9/10 - So you're telling me that Sam is supposed to be Lucifer, Dean is supposed to be Michael & Cas is a human spiritualist? What on earth?? Haha. I enjoyed seeing the 2014 world & how things panned out in Zac's vision to our present Dean. That doesn't mean to say I want this to happen though!! I need those boys safe guys!! We MUST protect them.

SUPERNATURAL 5X05 - FALLEN IDOLS

Sam and Dean decide to start hunting together again and their first case leads them to a small town whose inhabitants are being killed by famous dead icons.

Rating - 7/10 - Definite filler episode this week. I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would when hearing people's views on this one. The moment that made it worthwhile, was that ending scene! The boys are back! (I hope at least)...I think it took a lot for them to talk openly like that & I just pray they take their words seriously. The fact Paris Hilton was in this ep made me crease - I used to watch the simple life way back when. 'That's hot' haha, oh my days smh. I have to mention the hotel scene too, the way Dean was talking to Bobby over the phone & Sam over hearing was such a shitty moment. Dean has the right to be, idk, bitter? about it and Sam has the right to be hurt by his words as he's trying to move forward and make amends for what he did. Luckily, we got that end scene though :D huzzah! Let's hope ep 6 has a bit more 'meat' to it, thanks for watching.

SUPERNATURAL 5X06 - I BELIEVE THE CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE

Fairy tales do come true! Sam and Dean investigate a series of odd murders that strangely resemble fairytales and urban legends.

DJ: Rating - 7.9/10 - I liked the introduction of Jesse (spelling?) I think the child actor did a good job in this episode. Hearing the boys say they wished John would have lied to them growing up is very telling. Their outlook on the world would have been very different. They probably would have had an easier life but possibly would have gotten into a scary situation with no experience or skill to come out of it alive? (Like the situation with their brother). Who knows. It was great seeing a warmer side of Sam again, being compassionate & understanding with Jesse, hope this sticks. I'm hoping ep 7 will move the main plot a long a little further, i'm looking forward to it :D

SUPERNATURAL 5X07 - THE CURIOUS CASE OF DEAN WINCHESTER

Sam and Dean discover a witch is running a high- stakes poker game where the currency is not money, but years of life.

DJ: *Rating* 6/10 - I feel this is a low rating for me. Whether it's because I wasn't in the best mood when I watched it, possibly? Idk. What was really strong and powerful for me in this episode was Bobby - I love Bobby so much. He's such a pressure gem & I hate seeing him lose his spark & determination to survive. Dean risking his own lives without question was so heartfelt & Sam diving into play just shows how much the boys care for him - I wish he saw & felt that during this low time.

SUPERNATURAL 5X08 - CHANGING CHANNELS

Sam and Dean get stuck in TV Hell.

DJ: *Rating* - 8.8/10 - Sorry for the shaky start when watching this but what an ending! I really enjoy the trickster, I know he's a 'bad guy' for the boys & i'd love for him to stop torturing them but I can't help but find him entertaining! The blossoming friendship that is Cas & Dean is solid & i'm all for it. The humour in this episode was great & the influence of well known tv shows was brilliant too. We now know that the Trickster is Gabriel, a very powerful arch angel. He has beef with his family & just wants all of this to be over with so he can crack on with his life. Whether he eases up on the boys now or not will be interesting. I can't help but hope he discusses what he put Sam through when Dean was unawares for those 6 months!!

SUPERNATURAL 5X09 - THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS

Super fan Becky uses Chuck's phone to trick Sam and Dean into attending a "Supernatural" fan convention.

Rating* - 7.9/10 - Loved the concept of this con episode. Some really funny moments in this one. I was tempted to go higher on the rating but as we didnt get huge plot development I felt I couldn't get away with jumping higher. Really enjoyable episode though. As a convention goer myself, I found a lot of this really amusing. My love for Chuck grew even more & Becky is such a character!

SUPERNATURAL 5X10 - ABANDON ALL HOPE

Sam, Dean and Castiel track down the Colt and head off to find Lucifer to send him back to Hell. They are joined by Ellen and Jo.

DJ: *Rating* - 10/10 - I love pain apparently. This episode BROKE me. I fought so damn hard to fight back tears but I couldn't hold them in! It was too much guys - my heart felt like it was breaking in two. I was hooked from start to finish. Crowley has now official been introduced & he seems like a very interesting character. I'm very cautious of him, naturally, he is a demon after all. Fool me once *cough* Ruby *cough*, shame on me... It was great seeing all the gang together again (minus rufus) but I should have known something terrible was going to happen!! The fact that Ellen stuck by Jo just melted my heart! The boys & Bobby's reactions were difficult to watch - why burn that precious photo though?! I want that framed on my wall. Lucifer, has an EPIC plan made of pure devastation & terror!! I'm so scared for it!! The colt did absolutely nothing! Did Crowley know that? Did nobody expect that? I have so many Qs!! There's so much more to say but my mind won't seem to form sentences!

SUPERNATURAL 5X11 - SAM, INTERRUPTED

A former hunter named Martin, who is currently institutionalized, calls Sam and Dean for help investigating a case in the mental hospital.

DJ: *Rating* - 7.9/10 - This may be an unpopular opinion but I definitely expected more drama after episode 10. I wonder if they did this ep to give the audience a breather from the heartache but I feel the midseason break would have done just that? Might just be me, idk.

I still enjoyed the episode don't get me wrong. it was great to see the inner workings of the boys minds and seeing them work a case together following the travesty of ep 10. We got to see them vulnerable through the powers of the Wraith & come out strong yet again. My mind however is still on Crowley & Lucifer & this whole raising of Death himself business!! I need answers guys, hoping to get some in ep 12. Hope to watch soon! Let me know your thoughts on this episode, maybe hearing your opinions and views will give me a change of heart & different perspective on this episode :)

SUPERNATURAL 5X12 - SWAP MEAT

Gary, a teenage nerd, conjures up a body-switching spell and changes bodies with Sam.

DJ: *Rating* - 7.5/10 - Some fun moments in this ep. The kid flexing as Sam was hilarious & Sam not being able to eat bread & being darted twice, poor thing. Couldn't get over Dean not twigging on sooner that, that wasn't Sam though...I mean come on! After everything you guys have been through lol. I'm worried now that Sam could be taken over by someone or something & Lucifer tricks him into saying yes!! That didn't even cross my mind until this episode...scary thought. The other thing that surprised me was Sam's reaction to the kids life, he wasn't at all for it, thought 'the apple pie life' sucked & it was Dean that said, ' maybe we just don't know what we're missing'. I sound like a broken record i'm sure but, I want some main story arc stuff now please SPN! Bring on ep 13...

SUPERNATURAL 5X13 - THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME

The angels send Anna back in time to kill John and Mary Winchester before they can conceive Sam.

DJ: *Rating* - 9/10 - I loved this episode! I always enjoy when they explore their family life & I'm so glad that Sam got to experience this, this time around too! Seeing his mum & dad when they were younger must have been so surreal & getting the chance to say what he didn't say when they were alive just really got to me. So so good. The hardest thing about losing a parent are the 'ifs' & 'buts' you stew on. It must have been so fulfilling to get that chance, even if they wouldn't remember it in their future. We have now seen Michael make an appearance too, this poor family have been THROUGH IT haven't they?! Just can't catch a break. Am I right in thinking that John made an agreement with Michael? Or have I misunderstood that...either way, the boys have been doomed from the start :( I found John's opinions on hunter life/children really eye opening, at one stage he was disgusted by the thought & then in reality he ended up being the king of mixing up hunter life with his children. He must have been blinded by his loss of Mary. Glad we have had more movement in the plot this week, it felt like a long time coming even though it's only been 3 episodes haha.

SUPERNATURAL 5X14 - MY BLOODY VALENTINE

Castiel helps Sam and Dean hunt down Cupid on Valentine's Day after townspeople start to kill each other for love.

DJ: *Rating* - 8.9/10 - thoroughly enjoyed this episode! Was 'great' to see famine, another Horseman & even better seeing his demise! Mwahaha. Sam kicked some serious arse! Was great to see his power and also terrifying at the same time, as well as unbelievably sad to see Dean's reaction to it. My heart! Loved the concept of this episode & we got more plot which I love. The gore was little much though, holy crap!! I hope Sam isn't stuck in withdrawal room for too long & hope that Dean finds the strength from somewhere to carry on! He has Cas by his side so that's good :) & Bobby of course. God bless them. So we have two more horsemen to meet, bring it on! I'm still wondering what Lucifer is up to while all this is going on??? Hopefully time will tell!

SUPERNATURAL 5X15 - DEAD MEN DON'T WEAR PLAID

Sam and Dean investigate Bobby's hometown where the dead are rising from the grave - but instead of attacking humans, they are happily reuniting with their families.

DJ: This ep was hard for me to watch but it was a good one. I feel for Bobby so damn much! Losing someone once is hard enough but twice?...jeez louise. I don't know if I would have been as strong put it that way. Bobby did what he had to do & I hope he can stay strong following this. Sucks that he was targeted & sent this message. It seems if you're close with the Winchesters you have a painful journey too :( I'm a lover of zombies, I'm not sure why, I think possibly because I have a fear of the apocalypse becoming a reality & I like to have knowledge on what could happen and/or how to make life easier or prevent hardships?...idk...haha, I enjoyed this ep though.

SUPERNATURAL 5X16 - DARK SIDE OF THE MOON

Ambushed by angry hunters, Sam and Dean are shot and killed and sent to Heaven.

DJ: This episode was another struggle for Dean, surprise, surprise. This lad just will never catch a break will he?! It wasn't all shits & giggles for Sam either but I feel like his memories in Heaven were extra hard for Dean to swallow. It shows the harsh contrast between how the boys seen the world growing up. Dean was forced to raise Sam & grow up quickly with huge responsibilities, Sam felt the restrictions all around him for doing what he wanted to do & feeling generally trapped when growing up. It's so sad that their lives are filled with such heartache & trauma! All the pressures of saving the world ey? smh. Joshua has been introduced & has made it clear that God wants nothing to do with Cas & the boy's plans to end the apocalypse & save the human race - brilliant! *Sigh*. I'm completely out of options & guesstimations on what could possibly happen now, like Cas, my hope lay with God. Can't wait to find out what actually happens as this show always surprises me :D

SUPERNATURAL 5X17 - 99 PROBLEMS

Outnumbered by demons, Sam and Dean are saved at the last minute by a hunter named Rob and his townspeople - all of them aware of the Apocalypse and trained to fight and kill demons.

DJ: This episode was quite the ride. It started right in the action and had me questioning things from start to finish. The ending was a lot to take in & got me instantly nervous for the future. This ep also felt very 'cult'y to me, the fact that the whole town started listening to this one 'leader' who said they knew things. Then all fell in line, even turned on each other! So sad to see. What really caught my attention was the fact that Dean must be a servant of the lord. He killed Leah, Sam flagged it straight away. He knew something was up. Dean hasn't been his fighting self. I did not think the place he was going was Lisa's?! I feel for Dean so much that he longs for this simple, human life, with love & connection & 'normality'. Sadly he isn't destined for that life. Lisa handled that information overload well, that must have been quite a shock seeing Dean at her front door. This ep leads me to believe he's gonna say yes to Michael & i'm so scared! Sam is too... awaiting ep 18 for more info!

SUPERNATURAL 5X18 - POINT OF NO RETURN

In the series' 100th episode, Dean begins to think the only way to stop Lucifer is to say yes to Michael.

DJ: So this must be my 100th spn reaction ( minus bloopers ) congrats to us haha, more importantly congrats to SPN for this awesome show getting to 100 & I hear they just reached 300?!! Insane! They deserve all the credit.

Great episode!! When I saw this episode was called 'Point of No Return' I panicked! Convinced Dean was gonna become Michael! This show like it always does surprised me & I'm happy about this turn of events.

So many strong moments. Seeing Adam again was great but also sad because of how that turned out. I felt Dean started off super rocky in this ep. I was really upset with his comment at Bobby! No one talks to him like that, seeing his hurt expression after the line, 'you're not my father' was painful! Loved Bobby's honest response though. He was so cruel to Sam too, chipping away into his inner fears/insecurities & making them a reality was so damn harsh! Was not here for that at all. Glad he apologised at the end but words like that will take time to heal, surely.

BYE ZACHARIAH! Ciao! Adios! Real upset about saying goodbye to him..........

SUPERNATURAL 5X19 - HAMMER OF THE GODS

Sam and Dean are kidnapped by a group of gods and held hostage in a small hotel.

DJ: This episode was brilliant imo. I do have a few quibbles but over all, I think it was a really strong ep. I'm kinda gutted to see the Trickster go ngl. I did love his parting gift though!! It was great to see all the different Gods around one table & hearing them bicker ha. Lucifer being the devil that he is totally destroyed that gathering in a very easy & speedy fashion though. I definitely underestimated Lucifer's strength. I would have thought all the many Gods could have put up more of a fight but he absolutely slaughtered them without even breaking a sweat!! Gabriel came through in the end, thankfully & i'm hoping his tip on capturing the devil is achievable! Although they do have their work cut out for them! So close to this finale guys!! EEEeeeeekkkk!

SUPERNATURAL 5X20 - THE DEVIL YOU KNOW

Crowley offers to help the brothers hunt down Pestilence and reclaim his ring.

DJ: Crowley is back! With a bang too I might add. He's definitely got some skills this guys...he makes me so nervous though! I was surprised Dean is being so pro Crowley but I guess he's just at a loss with everything & has no other options? Sam has shown strength yet again this ep! I just hope he manages to grow even more & maintain that control over his emotions. I felt for him a lot this episode - he really took some hits. I'm worried for Bobby! His soul better be damn safe Crowley!! I ramble a little at the end of this video with more thoughts, hope you enjoy haha.

SUPERNATURAL 5X21 - TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT

Crowley tells Bobby he will give him the location of Death, the fourth horseman, in exchange for his soul.

DJ: Ep 21 was a great lead into the finale! Crowley gave Bobby his legs back!! I can't even. Meeting death was insane & so intense, loved his onscreen presence. The twist with the ring i did NOT see coming - it was brilliant! Bobby being a proud parent about Sam's strength & determination, i'm here for it! Cas is back too, great seeing him play a part & I freakin adore his one liners. Dean is so damn scared about losing Sam & my heart aches for him. He knows that sacrificing the one to save the many is logical but it's his brother guys!!! Bring on the FINALE!

SUPERNATURAL 5X22 - SWAN SONG

With the Apocalypse looming, Sam and Dean realize they are out of options and make heart breaking decisions that will change their lives forever.

DJ: My emotions were high!! Plenty of tissues were abused during the making of this video haha. I truly enjoyed this finale despite all the tears. The twists and turns were fantastic, the emotion was incredible, the acting was phenomenal and the production was top notch!

SUPERNATURAL SEASON 5 BLOOPERS & CHAT
