Sam and Dean face their biggest threat to date as they contend with the Darkness that has been unleashed upon the earth. Meanwhile, Castiel wrestles with the effects of Rowena's deadly spell as he recalls his brutal battle with Crowley.

DJ: Rating - 2/10 - THAT JUMP SCARE  CAME FROM THE DEVIL HIMSELF!! Just kidding, 10/10 episode guys! Great introduction to the new season guys. Very happy with that premiere. Not so happy with the boys lying to each other - but when am I ever?! They DO NOT learn! The darkness is eerie as anything & i'm extremely intrigued as to what will come of it 

Jenna winds up in a dangerous situation and calls Dean for help, leaving Sam to deal with monsters on his own.

DJ: Rating - 9/10 - Poor Cas guys! Our puppy is getting kicked yet again!! Please writers we've had too much of seeing him get beat at this point, LET HIM BE HAPPY!! Dean has this strange connection with Amara (spelling?) The Darkness & I'm worried by it!! She's growing at a rapid rate too, what even??? Loved seeing the Reaper this episode, i've been wondering what they'd be up to! 

Rowena tries to consolidate her power to protect herself from the Winchesters, while Sam and Dean look for a missing baby connected to the Darkness. Castiel struggles to heal, and Crowley tries to find a way to use the Darkness for his personal gain.

DJ: Rating - 8/10 - Rowena kills me with her MEGA Coven haha, so funny. Amara is growing rapidly guys! Crowley is clearly manipulating the situation to his advantage. I'm so happy to see Cas healed. I want him to catch a bloody break!! 

Castiel asks Metatron to help stop the Darkness, but Metatron is happy with his new life and reluctant to assist. Meanwhile, Crowley's hold on Amara loosens.

DJ: Rating - 10/10 - BABY you are so much more than just a car!!! I really enjoyed this episode guys. It was a one off episode but so much fun to watch & experience. Was so well done! I discuss in a lot more detail at the end of this video so be sure to stay tuned for that. 

Sam and Dean investigate a series of murders at a bed and breakfast that used to be Lizzie Borden's home, but when a man says he saw a little girl hanging around near the time of the murders, the Winchesters suspect Amara is responsible.

DJ: Rating - 8/10 - The scenes that really resonated was the conversations with soulless Lin(?) & the boys. I feel like he described his feelings well & you could see Dean's conflict in his head emerge the more he shared. I like that we got more exploration of Amara too & I'm excited to find out more there.

DJ: Rating - 9.5/10 - great episode! MetaDOUCHE aka SnakeATRON is back, I cannot even. Amara is GOD'S SISTER! This arc is heating up. Sam's visions are back again...related to his time in the cage, question mark? Dean and his connection with Amara seems strong - worrying to say the least. 

Sheriff Donna asks Dean and Sam for help with a murder that has supernatural elements; Sam's visions continue.

DJ: Rating - 7/10 - Seeing Donna again was great, I love her! She's such a sweet heart...even though she was giving new Doug a real hard time-yikes. The haunted masks in this were creepy as & the story connected to them was kinda problematic. 

Sam is surprised when his childhood imaginary friend, Sully, suddenly shows up and Dean can see him too.

DJ: Rating - 8.5/10 - I freakin' loved the concept of this episode. The imaginary friends aspect was so interesting to me. I always enjoy seeing more of the boys pasts too & this definitely touched upon that. Plot progression wasn't major but I do feel it was a very strong MOTW episode. 

Amara issues a shocking challenge, unleashing her power on the local residents; Dean tries to make sense of the hold Amara has on him; Sam and Crowley come up with a potentially disastrous plan.

DJ: Rating - 9.5/10! What an awesome episode! This season is heating up!!! Amara is so so powerful! Terrifying. Her lips seemed powerful on Dean's DO NOT APPROVE. So did God take Amara, i'm confused? I will have to wait and see! Sam stayed strong through this episode, he yet again proves his inner strength. 

Lucifer offers Sam a costly way out of the cage; Dean and Castiel investigate the angel smiting that might have killed Amara.

DJ: Rating - 10/10 - Tell me Rowena isn't dead guys!!! The neck snapped...SANPPED...BUT...suuuuurely she'll be back, she HAS to be. OMG THIS SHOW. Misha is an absolute legend!!! The way he played Lucifer was incredible! I'm hyped to see more of this, as much as I am terrified of what this means for Cas!! I can't even. 

Dean and Sam investigate when people begin meeting with violent deaths after listening to a mysterious song.

DJ:  Rating - 8.5/10 - Another great episode! This season is turning into a very strong watch. We had such a 'lovely' moment when Dean confided in 'Castiel'. It's a shame it was Lucifer! Dean is still not opening up to Sam, i'm thinking it's because he's scared & doesn't want Sam to be the one to have to hurt him if the time comes, he felt that was the case & he'd rather Cas step up? I could be wrong. 

Claire thinks recent murders in town are supernatural and asks Sam and Dean for help; Jody Mills reveals that Claire has been attacking people and accusing them of being monsters.

DJ: Rating - 9/10 - I just really enjoyed this one, even though it wasn't a plot heavy episode it just had so much that I like in it! Mills will forever be a favourite & I love when she makes an appearance. We finally gut updates on Alex & Claire too which was great to see! Some real comedic moments, the one around the table stands out for me haha 

While investigating a set of murders on Valentine's Day, Sam and Dean find they are dealing with an ancient curse that causes victims, once kissed by it, to die.

DJ: Rating - 8/10 - Another solid episode from SPN! MOTW with a twist. What stood out for me was the boys chat, shock horror, broken record me! It truly is what SPN do best though! The boys having heart to heart moments makes it for me. 

When Dean needs to go back in time to find a weapon that is powerful enough to defeat Amara (Emily Swallow), he turns to Castiel/Lucifer for help.

DJ: Rating - 9.5/10 - What an episode!! The moment i've been waiting for!! Sam find out about Lucifer! Sweet jesus my heart was pounding. Jared did an amazing job acting this one out. Misha knocked it out of the park! We even got a heavy emotional scene from Jensen at the end too! Loved it! 

Dean and Sam decide to take a break and attend the funeral of a wrestler they were fans of as kids; when another wrestler turns up dead, the brothers quickly return to work.

DJ: Rating - 8/10 - Crowley escaping was brilliant! Lucifer manages to dodge Crowley's efforts at ending him :( I'm still nervous for Cas if Lucifer is killed/banished? The MOTW aspect was good, was great to see Dean smile & have some excitement walking down memory lane and feeling like a kid again! Some nice comedic moments mixed with the intensity of Crowley/Lucifer battle. 

After an insidious creature is accidentally released into an old house, leaving a mother and child in a coma, the Winchesters must reach into the past to devise a plan to catch the monster before it kills someone.

DJ: Rating - 10/10 - BOBBY IS ON MY SCREEN AGAIN!!! I love this show!! This episode made me feel like I did back in the earlier seasons! I just love how they plant little seeds & then episodes and episodes later they call it back! SO GOOD! 

When Sam gets shot while rescuing two victims from a pair of werewolves, Dean must get everyone out and try to evade the pack that is pursuing them.

DJ: Rating - 10/10 - An absolute whirlwind of an episode! This is the content I signed up for! Considering it was heavily monster based we still got so much more from it - Intensity, action, emotion & plot. LOVED IT! 

Lucifer tries to assert himself into heaven; Crowley tells Sam and Dean they must take down Amara (guest star Emily Swallow).

DJ: Rating - 10/10 - Another incredible episode guys!! ROWENA IS ALOVE, thank the sweet heavens above...or should I say hell angels from below? Haha. Love her so glad she's back. Enjoyed this episode a lot, seeing Crowley work with the boys again was great & seeing Lucifer (Mark) in the same ep as Casifer (Misha) was awesome! 

Sam and Dean go to a small town in Colorado to meet two hunters who have a personal vendetta against monsters that appear once in a generation and cause mysterious disappearances.

DJ: Rating - 7.5/10 - Loved the Jesse character & the LGBT addition to the episode but other than the cuteness overload & creep factor of the monster of the week nothing much really happened. Still a great ep, as always with SPN but definitely a dip in my interest after the last two. 

Amara causes a small town to go mad when she places a dark fog upon it; Sam, Dean and the sheriff try to protect the town, but the old remedy fails.

DJ: Rating - 10/10 - INCREDIBLE! What a TWIST!! I loved this, the shock factor alone made it so much fun to watch. Oh. My. Chuck! Metatron confused my brain in this one, i'm wired to hate him but this made me appreciate his passion. This ep felt like it was chuck & Metatron's episode and the boys were making an appearance & I still loved it 

Concerned for Castiel, Dean and Sam devise a plan to rescue Lucifer from Amara's (Emily Swallow) clutches.

DJ:  Rating - 9/10 - Seeing god with the boys just blows my mind so much haha. Loved Dean confronting Chuck about all the awful things that have happened but props to the writers for how they have played this, the whole concept is brilliant! Another prophet!! Didn't expect that but enjoyed it. 

Sam and Dean come up against the biggest challenge they have ever faced; Rowena decides to make her move.

DJ: Rating - 10/10 - This felt like a finale to me, it was so good! I'm still struggling to process everything, its just so intense! I was very confused as to why the mark was going onto Sam & everyone was just okay with that?! Please can someone explain this part to me. I was not okay with it - It was a firm no from me! 

God's (Rob Benedict) decision about Amara (Emily Swallow) has direct repercussions on Sam and Dean.

DJ: Rating - 9/10 - My rating may surprise some of you as I know a lot think this is a 10/10 but personally I feel the build up was AMAZING but the execution was a lil bit meh? IDK, let me know your thoughts about that below? This episode did make me tear up & there was a lot happening in it!
