With Sam trapped in Hell, Dean has no choice but to settle into a normal life with his girlfriend however when the supernatural disturbs his neighborhood, Dean must rejoin the fight - only to discover that Sam is alive and well, and has brought family with him.

DJ: This was a good season opener. I had some questions answered & in true SPN fashion I have a bunch more, I wouldn't want it any other way haha. We've been introduced to some new characters that are supposedly family (you can't blame me for being sceptical, so we shall see).  

Sam turns to Dean for help when he's forced to take in the baby of parents murdered by shapeshifters. However, the brothers soon realise that the baby is a shapeshifter too and its father will stop at nothing to recover it.

DJ: Good episode. The baby aspect kept me on edge the whole time, way too close to home for me right now haha. I really enjoy Lisa & her impact on Dean. I think she's a brave and very understanding woman. I do hope that her & Ben remain safe!! 

When three policemen are struck down by the plagues of Moses, the brothers investigate, calling upon Castiel. He reluctantly appears, explaining that the murders are caused by the staff of Moses and that there's a civil war in Heaven.

DJ: This episode was beyond gross! Some of the scenes really got to me in this one, I can usually handle vile, gruesome scenes but I'm extremely fragile right now & I thought at one point I was actually gonna be sick! YIKES! Locusts...inside...a head?!! Never. Want. To. See. Again! 

It's several days in the life of Bobby Singer when he tries to recover his soul from the demon Crowley, deal with Sam and Dean's personal issues, cope with an outbreak of international monsters, handle a local woman with a crush and get a piece of peach cobbler.

DJ: A BOBBY EPISODE!!! I freakin' love him guys, how sweet is this guy?! He goes through so much & is so underappreciated. He deserves all the help & support. 

When a vampire links the disappearance of a number of girls, Sam and Dean track down the bloodsucker who sinks his teeth into one of the brothers.

DJ: I AM IN SHOCK! Sam paused! He let this happen! HE LET IT HAPPEN! Poor Dean. First of all, I'm glad that Samuel confronted Sam about him allowing Dean to get turned. Some brownie points there. Secondly, not only did Sam put Dean's life at risk, but he also put Lisa & Ben at risk as well as their relationship! 

When several people kill themselves after asking for the truth, Sam and Dean investigate and realise that Veritas, an ancient goddess of truth, has been summoned. Her victims die when they hear more truth than they can stand.

DJ: 

Castiel confirms what has happened to Sam, and the brothers go to Samuel for answers. He's busy leading a hunt against the Alpha Vampire, and the Winchesters insist on going. However, the hunt goes horribly awry and Dean and Sam learn what Samuel is up to.

DJ: 

Crowley forces Dean and Sam to bring him an alpha monster. They go after a Skinwalker, who plans to infiltrate his people into homes disguised as dogs and then have them all bite and transform their owners creating a growing army.

DJ: Rating 7/10 - We have Skin Walkers! I enjoyed this supernatural 'being?', it kept me guessing which I always enjoy. 

The brothers investigate a series of abductions attributed to aliens. However, when Dean disappears and then reappears, they realise that the culprits are fairies and that only someone taken to the fairy realm can see them.

DJ: Rating - 7.8/10 - Another cooky episode from the creators of SPN. Fairies, abductions, crop circles the lot! Loved the comedy in this episode, they always play it so well. 

Meg kidnaps the Winchesters, who offer to help her destroy Crowley, the new lord of Hell. In return, she'll torture Crowley for information on Sam's soul. The brothers turn to Castiel and Samuel for help, but neither is enthused at the plan.

DJ: Rating - 7.5/10 - So Samuel is selling the boys out for the hopes of bringing back Mary. Crowley is 'dead' I don't buy it, however, if i'm wrong & he does go out that way, i'll be very disappointed. Sam's soul is in trouble in the cage and apparently it's not possible to get it? 

Dean decides to bargain with Death to get Sam's soul back and has to accept a wager. Meanwhile, Sam refuses to take the risk of getting his damaged soul back, and prepares to cast a spell to prevent Dean's efforts.

DJ: Rating - 8/10 - Thought this was an enjoyable & interesting episode. Seeing death again was great - not a sentence I thought i'd ever say haha. He's such a captivating character though! A job that i'd never want to have & this episode emphasised that (I'm sure Dean agrees).  

Sam emerges from his coma and discovers that he remembers nothing since losing his soul. Dean and Bobby try to keep the secret, and the brothers head to Oregon to investigate the disappearance of several local female virgins. 

DJ: 

Sam has flashbacks of a case he worked with Samuel; Sam and Dean follow the coordinates received in a text message to a small town, where Sam used to live; townspeople's comments surprise Dean.

DJ: 

When Ben calls Dean and tells him that Lisa is in trouble, Dean leaves Sam to investigate a case alone and rushes to the rescue. However, he's not prepared for what meets him at the door. 

DJ: Rating - 7.5/10 - some really strong points in this episode. I liked that we got some closure on the Dean & Lisa story. Was sweet of Ben to try & 'fix them' but sadly it just cannot be. I love Lisa's honesty, they tried to make it work-it didn't so let's try and move on. 

To protect them from a killer angel, Balthazar sends Sam and Dean to an alternate dimension where they are duplicates of `Jared Padalecki and `Jensen Ackles, actors who appear in a show about two brothers who hunt monsters. 

DJ: Rating - 10/10!! - such a great episode!! Thoroughly enjoyable & such a wild ride to watch. I cant help but think about what it was like on the set that episode haha. Must have been a right laugh. I'm sure Jared loved having gen back on set too. 

Eve, the Mother of All, unleashes a new monster upon the world: a black worm-slug that can enter the brain and force people to kill. Sam and Dean join forces with Bobby and Rufus and track it to a cannery, only to discover that Gwen and Samuel are also there looking for the monster. None of them know who the monster is inside.

DJ: Rating - 8.8/10 - another good ep for season 6! So sad to see Rufus go, he had some great comedic scenes this episode & then to kill him off was harsh! Gwen also went along with Samuel too! THREE characters gone in an instant...SPN you heartless son of a gun. 

Sam, Dean and Bobby find themselves in a reality where the Titanic never sank and 50,000 people are in the world who weren't before. However, in the new reality, someone is now killing those 50,000 people one at a time.  

DJ: Rating - 8.5/10 - THE WRITERS ARE PURE EVIL! Why they gotta play with my emotions like that??? Poor Bobby!! He just can't catch a break can he! If he's not losing his wife in this life, he's losing a different wife in another life! 

Dean and Sam learn that Eve can be destroyed by the `ashes of the phoenix', but the only recorded instance of such a monster is in 1861, when it was killed by Samuel Colt. The brothers convince Castiel to transport them into the past to recover the ashes, but the angel can only give them 24 hours. However, when Castiel is injured by one of his fellow angels, he must turn to Bobby for help to bring the brothers back

DJ:Rating - 7/10 - Was a good ep but not one that would stand out for me. I did enjoy seeing Dean in his cowboy get up though I must say ^.^ So they have collected some pheonix ashes to perform the ritual for 'The Mother of all Evil'...I'm assuming next ep will cover this? 

Dean, Sam, Castiel and Bobby find Eve in a small town where the citizens have been converted to demons; Eve decides to torture Sam and Dean by bringing their mother back as a demon. 

DJ: Rating - 9/10 - I really enjoyed this episode guys, I don't know if i'll be alone in that but something about this one just had me hooked. I loved the twist with Dean swallowing the pheonix ash & I really enjoyed the twist at the end with Cas & Crowley! I need to know moooore!! 

Dean refuses to believe Bobby when he claims Castiel is hiding something. Before long, however, the conflicted angel reveals his true self.

DJ: Rating - 9.8/10 - What an ep guys! I'm not sure how you guys found this episode on first watch but for me I was hooked! Loved that Cas was leading the episode & we finally got answers and lots of them! This ep had the plot that I was hungry for, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 

Dean's worst nightmare comes true when a demon kidnaps Ben and Lisa in order to get to him. The brothers are forced to join forces with an unlikely ally to free them.

DJ: Rating - 9/10 - Dean kills me... The emotion in this ep was high! The love he feels for Lisa & Ben is so damn strong, it must have killed him asking Cas to wipe their memories like that. As hard as it's gonna be for them, I think it's the healthiest option for the two if them to move on with their 'normal' lives. 

Castiel removes Sam's memory block as a diversion to keep Dean busy, while the angel continues with his plan to become the new God. While Dean wonders what to do, Sam confronts the broken fragments of his own psyche, while Crowley is forced to find a new partner.

DJ: Rating - 9/10 - So there we have it, another season down & a great finale. Cas is now the 'new God'?? I hope he doesn't get drunk on power guys! Yikes. I hope that he keeps his naivety & quirky charm-pleeeease!! The line, 'I have no family' from Cas made me sad.
